A:Β contraindication-form-pdfwebsite
Q: Does Microblading hurt?
A: As you are blading the skin there will be some discomfort. Everyone has a different pain level. If you are Menstruating or have fibromyalgia you may be more sensitive. A topical anaesthetic will be applied after the first cuts are made to ensure the best possible symmetry and longevity of the pigment.
Q: Can I exercise before or after I have the procedure done?
A: Please do NOT exercise the morning off your procedure, or for 48 hours afterwards. Exercise gets the blood pumping and will cause you to bleed more therefore pigment retention will be less. While the brows are healing 7- 10 days sweat must not come in contact with brows. This will cause pigment to fade prematurely.
Q: Can I wear makeup before and after my appointment?
A: Yes you can wear makeup to your appointment. NO you may not put makeup over the eyebrows or too close to the area after the procedure. Infection is unlikely if Aftercare is followed, but can easily occur if this is not followed and make up is applied to the newly microbladed area. Β Keep the area clean and free from products until healed completely.
Q: Can I get my eyebrows wet after the procedure?
A: NO you need to keep them as dry as possible (apart from aftercare cream provided) No putting head under the shower, NO Swimming, NO Hot tubs for 7 days after procedure.
Q: Will my eyebrows scab in the healing process?
A: Every skin will heal differently. Small amounts of flaking and itchiness may occur. Some skins will peel, your brows should NOT scab if they do this is normally due to incorrect aftercare. DO NOT pick, scratch or peel off any area of the brows, let this happen in it own time. This can cause infection, scarring and loss of pigment.
Q: Can I sunbathe or be out in the sun after procedure?
A: NO this is a very important part of the longevity of your brows! UV rays will fade your brows prematurely. Please always wear a hat and sunscreen (Once healed) to protect your brows. You need to be cautious 30 days before and after procedure. A tanned skin will not hold pigment so please ensure you protect yourself before and after your treatment.
Q: How long will my brows last?
A: Again every skin is different and results will vary also depending on how strict you are with your aftercare and how you care for your brows. Abby has no control over the way your body will process the pigment or heal. Oily skins/Aleopecia client will fade more quickly often needing a re-touch every 6 months. Other skin types can last between 10 – 18 months from first touch -up. A refresh treatment will need to be done every 12- 18 months to keep your brows looking in tip top shape! If you leave it longer than 18 months you will be charged as a full new treatment.
Q: Is it safe to have an MRI scan with the pigments used by Flossie Brows?
A: Yes Flossie brows uses the highest quality pigments from Europe where tests have been done to ensure the safety of their clients.
Q: Will my eyebrows stay looking as dark and crisp as they are on procedure day?
A: NO your eyebrows will fade up to 40% during the first 7 – 10 days as they heal. Please DO NOT scrub, pick or use anything on your brows to try and lighten them! Allow them to heal and fade, It is perfectly normal for your brows to look patchy during the healing process and some hairs will possibly disappear it takes roughly 4 weeks for the pigment to resurface. As the pigment settles into place under the skin it will have a softer look as remember the pigment is being placed into the skin not on top of it. Any extra touches will be added at your 4-6 weekly touch up.
Q: I am happy with how my brows look after the first appointment do I still need to have the touch-up?
A: YES you 100% need to have your touch up or your brows will not last. It is very important to make this appointment Β when booking to ensure your time is secured.
Q: I would like to make my brows a bit thicker, is this possible at the touch-up?
A: Yes absolutely this is the time to add colour or thickness to your new brows.
Q: Do I get to discuss the shape and colour with my Flossie Brows artist?
A: Yes the measurements, placement, shape and colour take the longest part of the procedure time to get correct. Flossie brows uses the latest technology to help create the perfect brows for your face.
Q: Can i drink coffee before my appointment?
A: NO Please refrain from drinking coffee 24hours before your treatment as this is a stimulant.
Q: Can i take painkillers or anti-inflammatory drugs before I come to my appointment?
A: NO painkillers (Asprin, paracetamol or Ibuprofen) to be taken before the treatment. This will cause you to bleed more and pigment retention will not be good.
Q: Can i smoke before my treatment?
A: NO please refrain from smoking 24hours before your treatment. This is also a stimulant, will cause the anaesthetic to wear of quicker and delay the healing process.
